Hi James

Thanks very much.
Saturdays firework display was just fabulous, the preparation required to produce such a phenomenal show must have been very time consuming.
That big booming sound heard when shell is projected to a considerable height is quite something, as all your see is a glowing spec shooting up into the night sky not knowing what to expect. The explosion foot print is quite substantial ,would be interested to know the area covered.
Quite amazed to see such a wide range of different array of patterns produced when the shell explodes, the technology behind this is very impressive.
I should imagine the distance from where the fireworks are set off to where the crowd is situated presumably has been calculated both from a safety and optimum view point prospective.
We have been going to Brochham fireworks for many years there did appear to be more people than ever this year.
This year we parked in wellhouse lane car park, it and was very organsied and was a very pleasant walk to and from the green.

Regards

I'll pass your post onto the crew that prepare and launch the display, hopefully get them to do a page on what they do.

I do know they are computer fired.

Very good Sunni; glad you know the best trees for climbing. I used to enjoy that about 55 years ago :). Keep up the poetry....

Congratulations yet again on a fabulous if not soggy Bonfire Night. I must however stress my dismay by the irresponsible behaviour of some people in the procession. They were waving lit torches in what were already precarious conditions, with no thought whatsoever for others. The Bonfire Boys at the back of the procession did a sterling job in keeping control as best they could but my suggestion would be to ensure that additional stewards patrol the procession from beginning to end. It gets bigger and bigger every year which is great but potentially on Saturday there could have been several accidents. As a long standing resident of the village and supporter of all that is done, I will get involved next year and offer to steward the procession.
